Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides enhanced security for your Kwanti account by requiring two steps to sign in:
- Enter your username and password.
- Confirm your identity using either an SMS code or an authenticator app.
This additional layer of security makes it significantly more challenging for attackers to access your account, even if they guess your password.
Authentication Methods
1. SMS Code
- Kwanti sends a secret code via SMS to your registered mobile phone.
- Enter the code in the Kwanti login interface to complete the sign-in process.
2. Authenticator App
- Use an authenticator app such as Authy, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 2FAS.
- The app generates a time-based one-time code that you enter during login.
Activation
To enable two-factor authentication:
- Sign in to Kwanti and navigate to Settings > Security.
- Select your preferred method of authentication:
- SMS Code: Register your mobile phone number. Kwanti will send a verification code by SMS to confirm setup.
- Authenticator App:
- Scan the QR code displayed in Kwanti using your preferred authenticator app.
- Enter the code generated by the app to complete setup.
- Follow the prompts to confirm and save your 2FA settings.
Optional: "Remember This Device"
If you select "Don't ask for codes on this device", you won’t be prompted for two-factor authentication on this computer for 30 days. Only enable this option on a trusted, private device.
